Green Owl Arts: ReCrafted Ornamentation & Other Objects
|
There is no such thing as waste, except in a wasteful society. Everything is a resource. Everything has creative or useful potential, whether or not we are able to perceive and imagine the creative; it is up to us to curb our passions for shiny new products and limit our impact on our environment. Creativity has made our world what it is - now we must find a way to use our creative thinking to solve the issues we have ignored for too long.

ReCrafted Ornamentation & Other Objects
|
Scrap fabric, old t-shirts, threads, recycled beads buttons, and ornamentation made from junk drawer parts are used to make this jewellery and accessories, using a variety of techniques including knitting, finger-knitting, crochet and braiding.
Almost every part of the fabrics are used - except the labels, which I pass on to another designer. Accessories and furnishings are re-created from repurposed, recycled, up-cycled, materials that would otherwise have been discarded or put in the trash.
* I offer classes in recycled craft, with a focus on textiles and junk drawers. Details will be posted in my blog, or contact me. |

Jewellery & Accessories: Yarn Techniques

We need to find a way to meet that need without further jeopardizing our resources and climate.
